SENATE BILL 131

Colorado families can expect to save $2,650 per year once Senator Lundeen’s Senate Bill 131 is passed.

This bill encourages the construction of new housing by making critical and needed reforms to Colorado’s construction defects laws.

Senate Bill 131 will also help lower the price of rent by slashing costly and burdensome bureaucratic regulations created by the Democrats’ HB23-1120 and SB24-094.

Finally, Senate Bill 131 will help keep housing costs from rising by requiring all new energy codes adopted by municipalities be cost effective.

Senate Bill 131 is due to be heard in the Senate State Affairs Committee on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025.

SENATE BILL 156

Did you know the state of Colorado is the 6th most regulated state in the country? This unfortunate fact has skyrocketed the cost of living and deterred business investment in our state.

Senator Janice Rich’s Senate Bill 156 looks to reinvigorate our state’s economic prosperity by slashing bureaucratic red-tape and repealing some of the Democrats’ most egregious regulations.

Senator Rich’s bill will repeal fees and regulations created by Senate Bills 22-193, 20-204, and 20-218, as well as House Bills 22-1362 and 21-1198. These regulations have had rippling consequences across all industries that have crushed Colorado families’ economic prosperity.

SENATE BILL 117<br />

Gas getting expensive? Thank the Democrats!

Senate Bill 117 would have decreased the cost of gasoline by as high as 20% and given the average Colorado family over $440 in in annual relief had it not been killed by Senate Democrats.

Senator Bright’s bill would have given Colorado families much needed relief by eliminating fees currently levied on every gallon of gasoline and diesel fuel. The bill would have also eliminated fees on passenger ride-share services, short-term vehicle rentals, and fees levied on new tires. Finally, the bill would have reduced the cost of gasoline for most Coloradans by using existing enterprise funds to create a rebate program.
