Crowder Seeks Tighter School Security in Wake of Shooting
DENVER — Senator Larry Crowder (R-Alamosa) released the following statement in response to Friday’s tragic school shooting in Texas.
“With another school shooting in Texas I would ask the federal government to begin examining the possibility of implementing a school security system on a national scale. The technology already exists to handle the millions of students who enter our school grounds each day in a fashion that should not be disruptive to everyday school functions. Additional gun laws have already proven to be ineffective in countering these attacks. Effective action would be to stop these school terrorists at the door. The time is upon us to move in the direction to stop terrorism in our schools.”
