BIOGRAPHY

Senator Janice Rich represents Senate District seven, which includes all of Mesa County and a portion of Delta County. Professionally, Janice is a certified legal secretary and lives in Grand Junction with her husband Steve Rich. Janice has deep roots in Colorado and began her service to the state in 2003, when she became the County Clerk for Mesa County. From 2011-2018 Senator Rich served as the Treasurer for Mesa County, and was elected as a State Representative in 2018 and again in 2020. She completed her first four years in the Legislature, being the co-prime sponsor of 37 bills. All of the Bills Janice introduced passed both the House and the Senate, with strong bipartisan support; and ALL were signed by the Governor. She always says, “We do our best work when we work together!”
