BIOGRAPHY
Senator Lisa Frizell is a proud Colorado native and long-time Castle Rock resident who has dedicated her life to serving her community. Prior to being elected to represent House District 45 in November 2022, Lisa dedicated 25 years of her career to the Douglas County Assessor’s Office. During her two terms as County Assessor, she focused on fiscal responsibility—an approach she carried with her to the State Capitol as a legislator. As a State Representative, Senator Frizell has proven to be highly effective, passing eight bills in the 2023 session and eighteen bills in 2024, including several that have helped ease the property tax burden for Coloradans.
A committed volunteer in her community, Lisa has served in numerous leadership roles in Senate District 2, including Chair and Treasurer of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce, President of the Colorado Assessors Association, 2nd Vice President of Douglas County Republican Women, Girl Scout Leader, Metropolitan District Board Director, Precinct Leader, and Chair of Castle Rock Artfest.
Senator Frizell holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Colorado and has completed postgraduate studies in accounting. She resides in Castle Rock with her husband, David, and they are proud parents of three children and grandparents to two wonderful granddaughters.
