Senate GOP Honors Service Members on Military Appreciation Day

DENVER, Colo. - Colorado's Senate Republicans honored Colorado’s strong tradition of military service along with both active and retired service members today at the Capitol for Military Appreciation Day.

"Colorado has a proud military tradition and words cannot express how grateful we all are for the service and sacrifice of our veterans and the active duty members of our armed services,” said Senate President Bill Cadman. “We also recognize and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and our freedoms. As Representative Jon Keyser said earlier this morning, resolutions and a day of recognition are not enough when it comes to honoring our service members and our fallen, we should strive to honor them every day because it is the soldier who we truly have to thank for our freedom."

Colorado Republican Senators who are veterans of the United States Armed Services include Senate President Bill Cadman, Senator Kent Lambert, Senator David Balmer, Senator Larry Crowder, Senator Owen Hill, and Senator John Cooke.
