Senator Jack Tate represents Senate District 27 which encompasses Centennial, Inverness, Cherry Creek, Dove Valley, and parts of Aurora.
Jack Tate has spent his 25-year technical and business career developing, evaluating, and managing significant capital projects related to capital investment. His company has completed many projects for commercial building owners, hospitals, institutions, and state agencies that address critical needs in such a way that they are self-funding, without requiring the use of scarce capital.
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Senator Tate attended Duke University in North Carolina and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. He continued his education at Vanderbilt University, the University of Missouri, and the University of Colorado, Denver completing work for an MBA in Marketing, as well as a Master of Science in Finance.
Senator Tate is committed to cutting wasteful government spending, reducing bureaucratic red tape, opposing new taxes, and encouraging job growth in Colorado.
He is married to Dr. Kathleen Tate, who grew up in Arapahoe County and attended Cherry Creek High School. She is a highly respected physician and surgeon in private practice at the Medical Center of Aurora and the Centennial Medical Center. They have three children; one in college, one in high school and the youngest in elementary school.
