Fort Collins Hosts Presidential Primary Forum Saturday

Denver – The Colorado Elections Study Group holds its fourth and final forum on the future of Colorado's presidential primary in Fort Collins on Saturday, between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. at the Lory Student Center on the Campus of Colorado State University. This free event is open to the press and public. The participation of all interested parties -- Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, independents – is encouraged.

The forums were designed to ensure that as many Coloradans as possible have a chance to be heard on this critically important topic, which became the focal point of two bills that failed in the waning days of the 2016 legislative session. Based on the good showing at the group's first three forums, in Denver, Grand Junction and Pueblo, interest in the topic remains as strong as ever.

Invited witnesses include:

JUDD CHOATE, Director of Elections, Office of Secretary of State
MARTHA TIERNEY, Attorney, Colorado Democratic Party
CURTIS HUBBARD, Director, Let Colorado Vote
PEG CAGE, Chair, Boulder County Republican Party
BOB MORAIN, Chair, Larimer County Republican Party
JAMES THOMPSON, Chair, Larimer County Democratic Party
JAY NORTH, Chairman, Libertarian Party of Colorado
ANGELA MYERS, Larimer County Clerk & Recorder
CARLY KOPPES, Weld County Clerk & Recorder

Saturday, September 24, 12:30 to 3:30PM
Lory Student Center, 1101 Center Avenue Mall
