DENVER, Colo. - Senate President Bill Cadman issued the following statement today applauding the Colorado Economic Development Commission's approval of economic incentives for the Sierra Nevada Corporation to open a new aeronautic center at the Colorado Springs Airport:
"Colorado's culture of innovation makes us a natural home for the aerospace industry and actions like today's vote are vital for continuing to make our state as attractive as possible for innovators and job creators. The Colorado Economic Development Commission clearly recognizes the importance of relentlessly competing for the great jobs provided by the aerospace industry and should be applauded for their vote. Colorado Springs welcomes the Sierra Nevada Corporation with open arms and we are proud they have chosen our great city as their new home."
The Denver Business Journal has reported that Sierra Nevada Corporation’s new $88 million dollar campus in Colorado Springs will create more than 1,300 new jobs.
